The following members have been disabled unconditionally for lying about their stats:

chobosarah(OD)

I will strictly enforce a policy about this. If a member is misreporting his or her win/loss record in order to take advantage of the system, he or she will be disabled immediately.

It's ok to be off a few wins or losses negatively (i.e., have bigger stats on battle.net than on the overdosed website) or forget to update your ladder stats, but saying you have 555 wins when in reality you have 7 will get you disabled.

I absolutely agree that ranks are way too easily earned. Some people just promote people they know without any specific reason, just the fact that they can promote. This should change and promos should go back to officer's only.

I agree that only officers should be allowed to promote, it would help keep things more under control... also maybe having it 10 days or 14 days instead of 8 days to be able to be promoted because in the long run I think it is better off that way... just a thought though

Nah i dont think that is kool i think that it should stay at WO1 can promote but i do agree with the days should go to 10 days its longer there should be more rules to it also like you can only promo one person some people promo 5 people.

Auto promotions for the new recruits and enlisted members will still work.

What will not work is any rank above Staff. Sgt is able to promote.

There is a new system that will be in place to remove the ease of how people gain rank in this clan.

From what we will say is very soon, in order to get a promotion in OverDosed it will be scripted that a general as to approve itl.

I think the promotion system should be changed so that a General has to approve the promotion. Just my two cents though.

Improving promotion system you say? That sounds great, too many people getting free promotions because of them being "friends" or "buddies" or even "i saw you today". In my opinion I think promotion abilities should be given to Officers and Generals.

For those of you that still feel a bit down because promotion system is down for now, well look on the bright side; we can still demote people.

nah thats goin to far cuz if you ever once mad a genral mad they can hold that genst you forever youll never get anywhere. i think it should be 14 days you and only promo one person every month and you cant promo the same person twice in a row that would be better

That seems fair, that a general has to OK a promotion, but what happens if the general that is OKing it or declining it doesnt like that person for a personal reason? Hopefully it is if no one approves it in like 3 days, the request for promotion is deleted, so it cant be turned down, just erased if no one OKs it...

I think that having a General accept or decline the promo sounds great. But also... have the general give a reason WHY he is accepting the promotion, or WHY he is declining it, that way personal reasons would not count, and if a general decline for a particular reason hopefully he has proof if ANOTHER general questions him. Or maybe 2 out of 3 generals should approve, dat should get rid of prejudice if der is any at all. but thank god new promo system will b worked out

I think if your going to make any changes at all to promo system it shouldn't go much farther than officers only promoting and 10 dsp

You guys really complain a lot of days since promotion. I have a disablement record and I have to wait 16 days for my promos and I really don't care. -_- Rank's aren't everything you know, promo's should be given to Officers+ and probably agreed by 2/3 Generals! That way people can't abuse their Promoting abilities, and everyone will be happy!

Listen... Half of our Generals (not naming anyone) are slightly IA. How would we get an approval? Talking to the General on AIM? Sending a PM? And so on.

I say that only an officer should promote. BUT, they would have to get a second opinnion from a Warrent Officer or higher. You could say a "sponser".

The Officers should already know how you should promote people. Not by a friendship or relationship but by activeness, loyalty, and manners.

This might make some other members a little ticked off or angry but atleast this system has a meaning and actually will work.

As for the promoting, I will say this again... One Officer decides to promote somebody, they would need a second opinnion though, by a Warent Officer or higher. That would work out, sometimes you can't get ahold of Generals.

I slightly agree with Silent's statement but I disagree with the "sponser" by a WO or Higher. It should be either seconded by ONE general or TWO Officers, that way it would be more fair.

You shouldn't need aproval by anyone else. If its generals only you know AT LEAST one will play favorites. If you really insist on having someone approve to promo then I'd go with Silent's idea.

nah for real thought they are right we shouldnt need a general to promote i like the way it is but more days 10-14 days that would help and that you cant promo the same person 2 times in a row that too

only way to be promoted is to get the approval of 2-3 generals... thats ludacris, it wont work, the clan will only get more topheavy than it already is.

6 BW Generals
6 TFT Generals
2 D2x Generals
6 CS Generals

Odds are, if you are a Broodwar general, a CS general, or a TFT general, you aren't going to know too many d2x players, let alone vote for them. To have 3 generals required to promote, would pretty much do a fatal blow to our d2x division. Without hope for advancement, people wont stay long...

Simply put, most generals wont vote for people who don't play their game. Mainly because they don't know the other people. All 4 of our games are pretty equally split up,

BW = Clan OD@USEAST
D2x = Clan OD@USWEST (no offense east squad)
TFT = Clan ODWC@Azeroth
CS = 69.41.244.30:27015

75% of the time they don't run into each other. And some of the generals don't game that much anyway... so the amounts of generals listed for each game, is actually like 4/6 to 1/2 of what is listed.

2-3 votes is nearly impossible... 1 may be ok...

The sad truth is, with this many people, there will probably be so many requests that most generals will just pass them through without looking. And some of those people who tend to stay in a smaller group (like i was for quite some time in this clan) won't be mentioned at all.

The way i can see of improving, is to remove WO promotion abilities, and/or make longer intervals between ranks.
